Basalt Fibers

Basalt Fibers & Basalt Fiber Products are less prominent than those made from Glass, Carbon or Aramid. Partially the reason may be that basalt is not manufactured in the USA.

In simple terms, Basalt Fibers are made from crushed stones. Since they are not manufactured with various chemicals and basically are made from a rock, which is transformed into a fiber, they are considered a “green product”. In other words, it can be fully recycled.
